Oh yea just disable tracing on netman, or oh yea just set netman to run as single user instead of multi, or oh yea here's a hotfix for the netman. Was just hoping there would be some simple solution like. Was really just hoping to find a way to make it so netman.dll doesn't freeze the entire site :-/ But it sounds like netman.dll is a core component on windows server 2003 and there's not really a way to "not use it" or get around this without I have zero ability to modify the 3rd party website at this point and It SEEMS like netman.dll on Windows Server 2003 doesn't properly catch the Exception but instead issues an abort which causes a popup inside the DLL that there's no way to get around. The research I've done so far on this type of exception I think I'm just out of luck So the application at this point just gets stuck. The thread that netman.dll aborts on crashes and has it disabled so the GC can't preempt the thread.
It tries to free up some memory by runningĪ GC but then netman.dll crashes with an OutOfMemory Exception which causes a popup inside the dll.
#Netman.dll darkstar one full#
The Heap get's too full and then it's unable to allocate a 64 MB segment. To fix that problem, just copy and paste the iphlpapi.dll file from the system32 folder to your DarkStar One folder, and that'll fix it. It was a problem with the 'iphlpapi.dll' file.
#Netman.dll darkstar one 32 bit#
It's a 3rd party 32 bit web application that overuses the InProc Session. The game DOES support higher resolutions. So for the most part I already know what causes the crash. Server doesn't have AOE3 on it :-) Curious if anyone knows why netman would generate a message box and if there's a way to suppress netman. It seems to be used for tracing or Age of Empires 3 but I don't see any tracing that's enabled and I'm pretty positive the I searched around a bit but can't find anything that concrete. Using Process Explorer I noticed that the netman.dll is loaded intoīut I'm still not quite sure what netman.dll is. If I do a KB from WINDBG on the blocking thread with the popup.
One thread triggers a GC but then that GC is blocked from running because of this popup and then everybody just stops running. I was able to track all this down by looking at a stack dump of the w3wp.exe process. "Application popup: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library : Runtime Error!" Been having some trouble with our w3wp.exe process hanging forever because of an application popup caused by the Visual Studio C++ 2005 Redistributable.
